INDICATIONS

Depatic is intended as an aid in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory liver disease, where a regenerative, detoxifying and anti-inflammatory effect is required.

Take 1 capsule twice daily before main meals.

PROPERTIES

Depatic is a phytocomplex particularly active in supporting a liver cleansing and protective function.

Sylimarin, the active ingredient from the seeds of milk thistle, is a complex consisting of three molecules, silibinin, sylichristin and sylidianin, which have demonstrated a significant protective effect on liver cells.

Sylimarin exerts an antioxidant and liver-protective effect against numerous substances toxic to the liver: Phallotoxin and α-amanitin (the toxins of the green button mushroom), lanthanoids, tetrachloromethane, galactosamine, ethanol (cause of the degenerative damage caused by alcoholism), etc.

The therapeutic effect of sylimarin is based on two mechanisms of action: it prevents the penetration of toxins into the liver cells and stimulates their regenerative capacity.

Desmodium adscendens is a plant of African origin and has been used since ancient times for a variety of diseases.

Numerous studies confirm the effectiveness of this plant on a biological and clinical level and in repairing and protecting liver tissue from damage caused by degenerative diseases (cirrhosis, hepatitis, etc.) and some toxins (plant toxins, medicines, chemical toxins, etc.).

The action of Desmodium restores the normal anatomical and functional structure of the liver tissue.

The anti-inflammatory and protective action on the liver parenchyma is obtained by inhibiting an enzyme (hepatic monooxygenase) that catalyses one of the biochemical reactions for the conversion of arachidonic acid into eicosanoids, the main pro-inflammatory molecules of the organism.

Desmodium adscendens also exerts a protective and desensitising action on the lungs, making the bronchi less sensitive to external influences of an allergic or irritant nature that trigger bronchial asthma.

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn., fruits) T.E. tit. 80% sylimarin - 30% silibinin, Desmodium (Desmodium adscendens (Sw.) D.C., leaves) T.E. tit. 0.5% flavonoids, bulking agent: cellulose; anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide and magnesium salts of fatty acids. Coating agent (capsule): Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
